Kenyans, stop misusing the word “hacking”. Recently you’ve heard so and so lost his verified instagram account to IRAQ hackers. I find it laughable to hear one of our Kenyan celebrities lost a YouTube channel to Tanzanian “hackers” -quite hilarious anyway how do you hack in Swahili. As long as your password is not 123456, if anything happens to your account, you were not hacked, you’re just careless. It’s either you trusted some idiot with your login credentials or saved them in a browser, and probably someone stole them via phishing or browser hooking and none should be termed as hacking.
If you feel your account is too important to be lost, I have few suggestions for you to keep your credentials safe:
~Don’t install random apps in your device. You all hate the official whatsapp since it doesn’t have “amazing” features. That app you’re installing from anywhere can give someone very stable access to your device. Install apps from official stores
~Log out from all devices except the current one- a feature In Facebook and Twitter as well, I don’t know about Instagram. It ends sessions in all other devices except the one you’re currently active in
~Turn on 2 factor authentication. It might be a long process to get OTP before you login but for heaven sake, it’s FREE, use it
~Don’t save password in browsers. Don’t rush to click that “remember me” button,
